No more worrying about staining your clothes and body odour. No more restrictions on which colours and fabrics you can wear.
This is a surprisingly common problem yet is largely undertreated due of a lack of awareness and its embarassing nature. However, patients treated with Botox® often report life-changing results.
Hyperhidrosis or excessive perspiration, is a very common problem and can affect any part of the body. However it is most distressing when it affects the under-arms, feet, hands or forehead. Fortunately it can be treated and reduced by up to 95%.

A very pure preparation of a protein, Botulinum toxin type A (Botox, Azzalure) is used in this treatment. When small doses are injected into the skin, Botox blocks the actions of the nerves that supply the eccrine glands; this prevents the glands from producing sweat. Botox blocks the nerve endings for 6-8 months until new nerve endings grow to replace them.
What happens during treatment?
Using a very fine needle, a small amount of Botox is injected into 10 to 15 places about 1.5 – 2 cm apart and spread evenly in each area. The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes.
Does It Hurt?
Only minimally. Because the skin of the armpit is thin, hyperhidrosis treatment there is barely felt.
How quickly does it work and how long will the effects last?
You should notice an improvement in your condition within a week of treatment. Results vary, but most people report a 95% reduction in excessive sweating for 6-8 months after treatment.
