It’s our body’s way of cooling us down. When we’re hot – either through heat or sport – we sweat; that moisture evaporates and helps us to maintain a healthy temperature. It’s also totally normal for us to sweat when we’re nervous because emotions can affect the sweat glands.
However, for some people, even the famous and beautiful, sweating really can be a real issue. Hyperhidrosis – or excessive sweating – often has no obvious cause and is thought to be the result of a problem with the part of the nervous system that controls sweating.
It is a real issue for many people and one that they find embarrassing to talk about. My clients will tell me how it affects their everyday life, making them feel uncomfortable in business and social situations, and how they often miss out on important events due to the worry that this issue might show them up.
In the past, it has been a challenge to treat but thankfully, we now have a procedure that works effectively. At our clinics in Birmingham and Henley-in-Arden, we are able to administer Hyperhidrosis injectibles that are designed to block signals sent to the nerves that control sweating, and therefore stop your sweat glands working overtime.
The procedure is well established and safe; using a small needle a series of injections are administered into each armpit preventing the glands from producing sweat. It takes approximately 30 minutes to carry out the treatment and you will notice an improvement within just seven days. Effects usually last approximately 6 months.
This is a common problem but just a simple chat with our team is the first step to combating Hyperhidrosis. All discussions are carried out in private and once treatment starts you could be looking at a more comfortable life within a matter of weeks. No sweat![/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
