A session typically lasts around 60 minutes. Your skin will be cleansed, and a numbing cream may be applied for extra comfort. The device is then placed on the treatment area, where it delivers controlled ultrasound energy. Most patients experience a warm sensation, and because there’s no downtime, you can return to your normal routine immediately.

It’s important to ask lots of questions and fully explore all of the options that are available to you. Here are the most popular questions we get asked about Ultherapy® Treatments.

Ultherapy® is a non-surgical ultrasound treatment that stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin deep within the skin. Ultherapy® uses precise ultrasound energy to target the deep structural layers of the skin without disrupting the skin’s surface. After treatment, the body’s tissue repair process stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, creating a natural lifting effect.
The first step of the Ultherapy® journey with us at Air Aesthetics is to book a complimentary consultation. You meet with the knowledgeable and experienced team behind Air Aesthetics and can ask us any questions that you may have about the Ultherapy® treatment process. During the consultation you will be asked about what you are looking to achieve and be advised whether Ultherapy® is the best treatment to achieve your goal. Alternative treatment will be recommended. A fully priced treatment plan will then be created with you.

Ultherapy® is suitable for all genders, we offer Ultherapy® for men and Ultherapy for women®. It is best for people that are in their thirties or older who have noticed skin sagging in areas such as the eyelids, brows, neck or chin. It is also successfully used to prevent ageing by our clients age 25 onwards.
No, Ultherapy® is not suitable for everyone. Ultherapy® is not suitable for people with extremely lax skin, pregnant women, people with open wounds, lesions or cystic acne or people with active implants such as pacemakers or cardioverter defibrillators (ICD).
Ultherapy® is a one off treatment. Depending on age and skin quality we will recommend a repeat treatment either yearly or every two years.
3 factors that can impact on the frequency of Ultherapy® treatments you have are:

• Your skin laxity (which is a natural part of ageing that causes skin to lose firmness and elasticity, resulting in a looser, saggier appearance)
• The biological response you have to ultrasound energy
• Your body's ability to build collagen - this process is called collagen synthesis. Collagen synthesis is the body’s process of creating collagen, a vital protein for skin, bones and connective tissues. Fibroblast cells produce and release collagen into the extracellular matrix to form supportive fibres. This continuous process can be influenced by factors like diet, hormones, age and environmental conditions.

For some clients, as their skin continues to age, they schedule follow-up Ultherapy® sessions to keep up with the body’s natural ageing process.
You may see some initial lift, but the ultimate results will take place over 2 – 3 months as the growth of new collagen and elastin replaces old tissue targeted by the treatment. A single Ultherapy® treatment works to gradually lift the skin for up to one year. We are happy to advise you on the likely outcomes for you as part of your free initial consultation.
Ultherapy® is regarded as the Gold Standard non-surgical face lift for several key reasons.
